You are not what you were born, but what you have it in yourself to be. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who can not defend themselves, and goodness. What God desires is in the heart, what you decide to do every day – you will be a good man – or not.

Dialogue drawn from one of my favorite movies, Kingdom of Heaven.

Paint, like all liquids, is really just a matter of interrelated matter, linked more by empty spaces and repellance than solid connections.  It is in distance and perspective that liquid takes on the qualities of flow, that particles become waves.

So in painting flowing motion becomes representation of that which is distinct, uniformity in spatial patterns that connect with our mind’s eye.
